Healing happens when you’re seen for who you are
I work with folks whose pain isolates them from loved ones, leaves them feeling fragmented into this part or that part, or makes them feel less like themselves.
Sometimes this pain is chronic and the body is involved.
Sometimes this pain is emotional, and it accompanies a chronic illness.
Sometimes this pain occurs in the midst of committed relationships and we feel unseen, unheard, lonely, or something has shaken our trust.
Sometimes, this pain paints itself as anxiety, depression, grief, lashing out, or withdrawing.
Pain isn’t limited to certain ages.
I’m familiar with pain. I’ve worked in the health and wellness fields with people who had persistent pain and dizziness, I’ve shared in people’s triumphs and defeats with chronic illnesses, and I’ve studied how the mind and body intricately relate to each other.
Not only is change possible, it’s inevitable when time, curiosity, and compassionate attention are applied. Even chronic pain can shift. I’ve witnessed it, and I’ve helped bring it into being.
Draw on the full depth of your experiences to generate insights, locate patterns to break the ones that no longer support you, and rekindle joy.
